Screen capture tweetThe Tweet Widget contains two amazing home screen widgets; the Tweet Widget and the Trends Widget!

The Android Tweet Widget (4x2) displays Twitter tweets. The widget contains buttons for your Timeline, your Mentions, your Favorites, Search, the current Trends and to Tweet. Via the Tweet button you can tweet your own tweets. Via the Favorites button you can see your favorites. Via the Mentions button you can see your Mentions. Via the Timeline button you can see your own timeline. Via the Trend button, you can see a list with the current Trends as a HeatMap. The red color means the hottest current trend. Tap on one of the trends to see tweets about this subject. With the arrow buttons you can scroll the buttons. You can tap on the tweet text to open it, see more details, follow the tweeter, mark it as a favorite, reply or retweet. Finally, integration with your favorite Twitter client is supported.

The Twitter based home screen Trends Widget (4x2) displays the global or local trending topics. Tap on the widget to open the heatmap.

If the tweeter has set it's own profile page, you can tap on the icon to open it. If the tweet contains an @username, it can be selected to open that users profile. You can set search tweet keywords for which tweets are being displayed. Furthermore, the text color, tweet refresh time can be adjusted as well.

This Widget makes use of the Twitter OAuth authorization. You will be asked once to grant the Tweet Widget to use your credentials to follow, mark as favorite, reply, retweet or tweet. You can use this Widget without a Twitter account but functionality is limited. You can only use the search criteria. You start this process by selecting the edge of the widget or one of the buttons. If you have granted the widget to use your Twitter credentials, the authorization process will not appear anymore. Furthermore, you can not follow yourself, follow somebody who you already following, reply to yourself or mark already as favorite marked tweets as favorite. By default or in case no tweet can be found for the provided keyword(s), the Twitter account of CMWMobile.com is used. In case the communication fails, the list with retrieved tweets is displayed again until communication is restored.
